For sale are Nepenthes robcantleyi “Queen of Hearts” x veitchii Sungai Samba from Borneo Exotics, BE-3700. We expect this awesome cross to get even more spectacular as they mature. The flared peristomes of each parent are simply brilliant and then you mix in the robust pitcher shape and dark color from robcantleyi “Queen of Hearts” and you’ve got progeny with some amazing potential. The veitchii male parent used in this cross is a lowland form with lime green pitchers and those seem to have been passed onto the offspring. We’ve really enjoyed the lime green peristome and pitcher bodies with purple stripes we’ve seen on some plants from this grex. Due to the lowland veitchii parent used in this cross, we expect these plants to grow well across a broad range of lowland, intermediate and highland conditions. They seem to grow faster than those from BE-3731.
